STATEMENT FROM LIFE CHURCH REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Life Church has cancelled all public meetings for the time being.
This means that we will not be meeting at the Malvern Vale Community Centre this Sunday, March 22nd, nor on subsequent Sundays until further notice. Our Tuesday meetings there have also been cancelled until further notice.
We have made this decision in order to best love and shield the vulnerable in our church and community. It is also right that we should follow government advice and support it in combating the virus. We remain a strong faith community committed to loving and supporting one another, our neighbours and friends, and our community. We remain also a prayerful community, praying for the sick and vulnerable, for our health service and other key workers, for our government and nation, and against this disease.
We plan to enhance our online presence to make additional resources, such as sermons, devotionals and a blog, available to members and our community through our website and Facebook page. In addition, we continue, as always, to welcome prayer requests, which may be submitted on line, and remain committed to pray for them. Finally, when this crisis is over, and we should rest assured that it will pass, we will resume public meetings as soon as we can.
Life Church Malvern is a small group of Christians who meet every Sunday at
Malvern Vale Community Centre.
Doors open at 10:00am, and the service starts at 10:30am. We usually finish around midday.
Hot and cold drinks are available before, during and at the end of the service, and cake and/or biscuits are served during the break.
(In case you’re wondering, we LOVE cake!)
Our Sunday meeting can take on a number of forms (so come prepared for a surprise!) but often consists of a time of worship, a talk (often aimed at children as well as adults) and an opportunity for a chat - and that obligatory slice of cake.
We try to be creative in finding ways of including others in our church life - those with additional needs, families, children etc.
Our worship time is led by musicians with a heart for worship and an ear to the Spirit and is open for people to pray and contribute as felt led to by the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are visiting us for one day, or looking for a new church to settle into, or just have some questions you’d like answered, you can be sure of a very warm welcome at Life Church. We are really looking forward to meeting you.
