Aine's big question led to tears of joy when the answer came...

First of all, a little about me...

Although if you meet me, you would soon notice that I am Irish, I have never actually lived in Ireland, and my family is not from a particularly strong church background. My mother used to speak fluent Gaelic and my dad is American. I have lived in Belgium for a few years though, so I speak fluent French.

Becoming a Christian

Becoming a Christian has meant a lot to me and it has made some big changes in my life. I found myself thinking about God things from time to time so when I saw a banner in the High Street in Malvern for the Alpha course, I picked up the phone and made contact.

The big question!

I had never attended church on a regular basis, but I had often wondered how exactly the death of Jesus saved us. Well, one night at the Alpha course I attended, my question was answered. As a young man called Sheldon explained it to us, a veil seemed to lift from my eyes, and I finally understood.

An incredible feeling of happiness

An incredible feeling of happiness came over me and I felt tears of joy well up in my eyes.  I still feel that sense of happiness even as I write this testimony. I began to enjoy being part of church life and growing in my faith and love for God. Before long, I was able to move into a shared house with two other single Christian ladies and that has been a good experience. I have no idea really what the future holds for me but I do know that the Lord will take care of everything.
